Departments of Study
In order to best match our students' needs and abilities, we offer two schools of study, the Global Studies Dept. and the General Studies Dept. Each one of these has it's own merits.

General Studies Department

The General Studies Department features a curriculum that helps the student achieve success in our international, information-orientated society. From their first year, students take courses that enable mastery in a more specialized subject area. Courses are Nursing, Excellent, Child Care, Wind Band, and General Studies. The students are encouraged to use their abilities to the utmost through a choice of college-level electives. These students continue on to a wide range of tertiary education, including the colleges of our affiliated Osaka International University.

Global Studies Department

We approach the ideal for high school English education with the Global Studies Dept. All three years of study feature more intensive English and English-related courses, including Oral Communications taught to small groups by native-speaking teachers. Students are challenged to pass the second level of the EIKEN Test, as well as to achieve high marks on the GTEC examination.

All of the students join a local school in Canada in their second year for our two Week Intensive English Seminar and Home Stay program. They also take part in many other special programs for international exchange and English skill development.

Additionally, some students opt to participate in our full- and half-year study abroad and home stay program in Aukland Sg,NewZealand. This program aims to create students of near-fluent level.

Overnight English Seminar

The Overnight English Seminar is held in Siga for the Global Studies Dept. students in spring of their first and second years. Various English activities, events, and workshops, culminating in a group skit, are held to increase the students' communicative abilities. As part of this, the girls are allowed to speak English only during the seminar.
